Best of Crowdfunding for October 2021

I come across hundreds of great campaigns on Kickstarter and Indiegogo every week. Some​times ​I get to speak with​ the creators​, and sometimes​ I get to learn about​ ​​their product through their campaign page. However, the ones that stick with me the most each month are the ones that are unique and marketed​ well​.​ ​After all, it’s not easy to ​leave a lasting impression out of thousands of other projects.

Here are the top eight Kickstarter and Indiegogo projects that stood out to me this month. Which​ other​ ones do you think should have made ​my list?

Knee Plus — Indiegogo

Knee Plus is an innovative light therapy device that utilizes LED lights and next-generation lasers, which are proven to help support the regrowth of blood vessels and cartilage, reduce inflammation and support the body’s unique healing process. Their campaign includes an unboxing video of their prototype and the specifics of the science behind their product.

TreePod Canopy — Kickstarter

TreePod Canopy combines the luxury of a cabana with the convenience and portability of a hammock. Their campaign goes in-depth into how to use TreePod and includes pictures of the process. In addition, they have a variety of technical, lifestyle and moving photos, or gifs, to make their campaign page stand out.

PUTTR — Indiegogo

PUTTR is the world’s first app-enabled smart putting green that allows golfers to connect and compete while providing next-gen stats and a course-like putting experience. Their campaign page breaks down each part of their product and goes in-depth, explaining the reasoning behind each aspect.

Warmee — Kickstarter

Warmee includes cushy smart throws, blankets, and mattress pads, all fitted with their ultra-thin Invisiwire heating technology. Coupled with temperature control from their mobile app, Warmee brings comfort and convenience to your home in one snuggly bundle. Their campaign page uses infographics to explain how Warmee could integrate into your life and its different uses.

SimpleReal — Kickstarter

SimpleReal is a stainless steel container that can collapse into a small disc that can be stowed easily. It’s sturdy, versatile and toxin-free. Their campaign page focuses on high-quality lifestyle photos and includes gifs to show how the product operates and how durable it is.

Author Clock — Kickstarter

Author Clock is a creative and inspiring way to tell time. The clock tells time through key moments in literature and writing history, making it a must-have for book lovers. Their campaign page’s design elements add to their theme of books and reveal a cohesive template.

Secret Whiteboard — Kickstarter

Secret Whiteboard is designed to help you switch between home and work life. It’s a hanging print frame that opens like a book to reveal a double-sided, magnetic whiteboard inside. Their campaign includes lifestyle photos and motion photos to show how the product operates. In addition, secret Whiteboard’s page makes it simple for their backers to follow their design process and intent.

BBalance Bath Mat — Indiegogo

BBalance Bath Mat takes more than just weight and takes multiple conditions into account. Their campaign page supports their efforts by providing their credentials and testimonials, which helps build their backer trust. BBalance Bath Mat also focuses on delivering high-quality lifestyle photos.
