Kickstarter and Indiegogo are hotbeds of innovation. There’s always something new, from games to consumer electronics, gadgets, and accessories, just a click away. Each month, I’m awed by the ideas people have worked to create. Some projects my team is proud to come alongside, while others I learn more about, through my podcast, Art of the Kickstart. Still many others I learn about like you do, as a backer or bystander.

Here are some of my favorite projects from August. If you see projects you think I should take a closer look at in September; please send them my way!

Inergize Cold Plunge Tub — Indiegogo

It’s crazy how many people, including myself, want to sit in freezing temperatures. Cryo therapy is becoming more mainstream, but I’ve been doing it for a while now. I make a homemade version and put a ton of ice in my bathtub. I could have saved myself a lot of ice if I had the Inergize Cold Plunge Tub. The Inergize Cold Plunge Tub makes cold therapy mobile, and this campaign fully funded on Kickstarter in just 35 minutes. Setting up this tub takes 15 minutes, and the benefits outweigh the cold water’s pain. If you’ve been thinking about getting into cold therapy, Inergize would be perfect for you.

DEX Modular Duffel Bags — Kickstarter

We’ve all likely seen and heard stories of travelers who lose luggage. As someone who travels quite a bit, a carry-on is essential. If you ask my wife, I have too many options for carry-on bags at home, which is why the DEX Modular Duffel Bag caught my eye. DEX Modular Duffel Bag functions as a duffel, a gym bag, a backpack, and so much more. Duffels traditionally hold way more than backpacks but are harder to travel with. With this bag, it’s no longer a win-lose situation. I can pack my bag like a duffel and carry it like a backpack. There are plenty of bag campaigns on Kickstarter, but this one raised over $350,000. Check out their campaign!

Geminos — Kickstarter

This campaign raised an insane amount of money and is one of my favorite tech campaigns recently. They raised more than $2 million on Kickstarter in 40 days. Geminos is what any home office setup needs, mine included. Geminos is a dual monitor with stacked screens. This setup is more natural for the eyes and maximizes productivity .Nowadays, everyone has 2–3 monitors in their home office to do that, but it’s annoying to swivel your head around every couple of seconds. With Geminos, you’re just looking up and down.

CarrGenie — Kickstarter

CarrGenie is a great tool. This adapter allows people to connect Carplay to their cars and works with iPhones and android phones. If you didn’t know, unless your vehicle comes with Carplay, you’ll need to go and have it specially installed. If you want to avoid the hassle, invest in CarrGenie for a quick fix. As our phones get smarter, we want our less-frequently upgraded items like cars to keep up. CarrGenie offers an innovative solution that I wish I’d have come up with!

DARKFADE — Kickstarter

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of flashlights on the market. Some require batteries, and some are small enough to fit in your pocket. DARKFADE is one of the coolest flashlights I’ve seen in a while. Its convenient 45-degree angle makes it easier to hold than traditional flashlights, and the dimmable settings ensure you won’t disturb anyone with a bright light. It’s also great because it attaches to your clothes. I always seem to drop the flashlight or awkwardly hold it in my mouth when trying to fix something in the house, but this would make being a handyman ten times easier.

Cooler Keg — Indiegogo

Beer lovers, rejoice. If you’re a beer lover like me, you know that fresh beer from a keg is the way to go. But kegerators are hard to lug around and can cost upwards of thousands of dollars. At under $800, Cooler Keg solves both these problems. This portable and easy-to-use draft system gives you a fresh cup of beer on the go. You can fill your keg with anything you’d like, and Cooler Keg has a fully self-contained kegerator system. If you love beer on the go, you’ll love Cooler Keg.

These six innovations have inspired me. Which products stood out to you?
