This month, these eight inventions stood out to me the most out of everything that launched on Kickstarter and Indiegogo. Of course, I’m always looking for unique and innovative campaigns to write about, but this month’s blog proves that sometimes simplicity is the best way to get noticed.

Mofu — Kickstarter

Our home is full of blankets. We have plenty in all the bedrooms and some near the TV for movie nights. Although it can be challenging to find the perfect blanket, Mofu gives me hope that there is an ideal blanket for everyday use. Mofu claims to be fray-resistant, thermoregulating, lightweight and incredibly comfy in their campaign. Of course, I’ll need to have my girls test it out before I can attest to the comfiness, but it seems like Mofu could be a hit in our home.

BN50X Rescue Backpack — Kickstarter

I’ve always been an outdoorsman and enjoy spending my free time mountain biking. I know the importance of safety outdoors, particularly when doing other activities like backpacking, hiking or rock climbing. That’s why I was excited to learn about the BN50X Rescue Backpack. This backpack allows search and rescue teams around the globe to pinpoint your location in case of an emergency through RECCO technology, which makes you searchable by rescue teams worldwide. For my next adventure and perhaps for yours, the BN50X Rescue Backpack is a must-have.

Bello 2 — Indiegogo

People might be surprised to learn that I love tech that tells me about my health. From smart rings to tests that help you understand food sensitivities, I’m fascinated by the data and enjoy trying to improve my health by using it. Bello 2 enables you to get important information about your body, like body fat, visceral fat, metabolic levels and BMI, through noninvasive NIRS (Near-infrared spectroscopy) technology. I like that it’ll tell me things other devices can’t.

ACPOTEL — Kickstarter

Binoculars are an item every household seems to have tucked away somewhere. My home is no different. That’s what initially piqued my interest in ACPOTEL. These impressive binoculars have military-grade precision and three different immersion modes, making them perfect for any activity, regardless of the time of day. Now I can show my girls the exciting creatures in our backyard (even when I keep them up past their bedtimes). These binoculars can be connected to external equipment like monitors so others can see what you’re seeing. These would be an excellent way for my daughters to observe and learn about nighttime wildlife.

Kaibo Flex — Kickstarter

These days, it’s nearly impossible to find a pair of headphones that do it all. I’m always struggling to keep earbuds in my ears and have yet to find a comfortable pair for when I’m working out. Kaibo Flex is the most promising pair of headphones I’ve discovered. These headphones send sound vibrations to your inner ear through the bone. I’ve often found that traditional in-ear earbuds aren’t always ideal when active, so these look to be an innovative alternative.

iRULER — Kickstarter

I’ve done just about every DIY project around the house you can imagine. But, if you’ve ever used a tape-measure solo for your own DIY projects, you also know it can be a hassle. iRULER is a simple, smart solution for measuring spaces around your home. This laser distance measure will tell you distance, area, volume and length and reaches up to 98 feet. The only downside to iRULER is the effect it’s going to have on my “project” list. I’m sure it’s about to get much longer.

Loop — Kickstarter

Part of my job involves traveling the world to meet with entrepreneurs about their ideas. I’ve never had an easy time sleeping on planes, mainly because it’s hard to get comfortable. Loop’s design stood out to me as truly innovative in the travel pillow space. Loop’s spiral design offers enhanced chin, neck and head support and it’s made from memory foam. It also has a warm and cool side, allowing you to adjust to your preference. Who knows, with Loop, I might just be able to get a little sleep on my next redeye flight.

isoNeck Pillow- Kickstarter

Investing in a proper pillow has saved my neck and back from unnecessary pain throughout the years. The right pillow supports your neck and spine no matter how you prefer to sleep. IsoNeck Pillow features a unique shape and design that support your neck and spine better than any other pillow on the market right now, even other memory foam ones. IsoNeck Pillow alleviates pressure, is durable and allows you to sleep well whether you sleep on your side or your back.

These 8 innovations are exciting. Which product do you want to get your hands on?
